Welcome to The Weekly 5! This week, I’m diving in to five things from New Rockstars, a YouTube channel that my friend Jonathan Lally introduced me to. So let’s dive in!
Spoiler warning for recent Star Wars, Marvel, and DC TV shows/movies.
1. The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6 Breakdown
The Book of Boba Fett took an interesting turn in episode 5 and I appreciate the details that goes into these breakdowns since I’m not someone who generally notices some of these things.
2. Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse Trailer Breakdown
To say I’m excited for more of the Spider-Verse would be an understatement. This trailer came out a bit ago but it’s still worth watching over and over again until the movie comes out.
3. SPIDER-MAN No Way Home: WHY The VENOM SYMBIOTE Stayed Behind
I finally watched No Way Home last Friday. It was fun, but I don’t think it hit as hard for me as it did for others. I do love how they appear to be allowing these characters to continue to exist within the MCU while Sony still does it’s own thing with certain characters like Venom.
4. THE BATMAN TRAILER BREAKDOWN! Riddler's Game & New Bat-Tech!
While I mostly watch the Star Wars and Marvel content from New Rockstars, they have also been breaking down all of the trailer for The Batman. I don’t love seeing long movies in theaters, but the more I see of this one, the more I might have to.
5. Captain Carter in Multiverse of Madness? Marvel One-Shot Breakdown! ("Agent Carter" 2013)
I’m all for more Agent Carter in the MCU. It feels like there are endless possibilities for Multiverse of Madness, but this is one that would be fun to see.
Content of the Week
I’ve been struggling a little with getting 2 videos out per week but here’s a She-Hulk reading guide for anyone who wants to check out the character prior to the show that is supposed to come out this year.
And here’s a look at 10 great limited/mini-series to check out on DC Universe Infinite.
Now, onto the podcasts!
Over on Welcome to Geekdom, I kicked off Tim Sale month with Nat Brehmer as we discussed Spider-Man: Blue.
For Chat Sematary, I did a quick Q&A episode to answer questions from Patreon supporters and my Twitter followers.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Thanks for this! Been watching New Rockstars for years and their breakdown videos are essential.
