The Weekly 5 Featuring Keep Going
Welcome back to The Weekly 5! Apologies for missing last week. I’m also not sure how it’s already Friday again, but here we are. Let’s dive in.
1. Keep Going by Austin Kleon
I spent a couple nights this week revisiting this and I actually highly recommend all three of Austin’s books on creativity. They’re quick reads with some fun visuals in them and I honestly might consider revisiting the other two soon, too. They’re fun!
2. Moon Knight
I’m not going to go into a big rant about this, just go check out the show if you haven’t yet.
3. Books That Caused Reading Slumps
I don’t necessarily read the same genres that Jesse does, but these videos are entertaining and as someone who has been in a bit of a reading slump the last few weeks (which Keep Going just got me out of), this had me laughing at how accurate it is.
4. Matt Nathanson’s Some Mad Hope
What’s this? A music recommendation? Yes, yes it is. This album turns 15 this year, which I find hard to believe but here we are anyway. I decided to revisit it this week and I still love it so much.
5. “Locke & Key” Season 3 Will Be the Final Season of the Netflix Series
I didn’t think this series would go on too terribly long, but this is a reminder that I really should get around to finishing up the comics.
Content of the Week
I haven’t had the energy to put out much on the YouTube front these last couple of weeks so nothing new there, but I did still get out episodes of Welcome to Geekdom and Chat Sematary this week.
Becky Kovach joined me on Geekdom to discuss the third season of American Gods.
On Chat Sematary, Drew Dietsch and I discussed one of my favorite Stephen King books, On Writing.
That’s all for this week, I hope you all have a great weekend!
